APPEARANCE
- Colors of varying intensities and hues (blue, magenta, gold) appear on the discs.
REASONS
- Insufficient practice. It is normal for new assemblies to see slight variations in the surface between the pad and the disc. If proper lapping is not done, the surfaces where friction occurs will overheat, causing metallurgical change in the friction surface.
EFFECTS
- Decreased braking efficiency due to reduced friction. Vibrations may occur, which may adversely affect the life of the pad and disc.
SOLUTION
- Replace discs. So for the first 200 kilometers, use the brakes softly and moderately.
